How do organisms react to the contamination? Sometimes, to escape is the best option.

The students from I.E.S. Santo Domingo participated in an activity to know how the contamination can be dangerous for the organisms. Initially, it was explained the risk of contamination to the well-functioning of the ecosystems and how organisms can suffer due to the presence of contaminants. At the end, students simulated a ecotoxicitytest to assess the repellency of the contaminants with the marine shrimp Palaemonvarians. The goal was to show that the repellence of the contaminants can be considered a risk factor because propel organisms to leave their home.
