Avoidance response by shrimps to contaminants

In an experiment performed with the marine shrimp Palaemon varians, organisms were exposed to a gradient of contamination with different sunscreen levels. During 3 h exposure, organisms were checked for recording their position in the system.

The shrimps selected the clean zones, avoiding the most contaminated ones.
